Music Lessons

Please note: Sign-ups for music lessons during a given month will now begin on the second Wednesday of the previous month. You can sign up online, or by calling the library at 518-993-4646! We will maintain a waiting list for lessons open due to cancellations, but not for standard lesson slots.

The Fort Plain Free Library is proud to now offer FREE music lessons each Monday! Hosted by Sam, each lesson will be a half-hour slot, with slots available from 3 to 5 p.m. Lessons are available for all skill levels–whether you’re just beginning to learn, brushing up on your skills, practicing a specific piece, or just looking for someone to play music with, we’d love to have you!

Sam is experienced with many instruments–please see our sign-up sheet for the full list! Please note that you will need to bring your own instrument (unless you’d like to learn piano or electric guitar–we can provide those for you)!

Lessons must be signed up for in advance. In order to make sure that all who are interested are able to participate, please limit your selections to two lesson slots per month. Sign-ups for a given month will become available on the second Wednesday of the previous month, and lesson slots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
