Beginning on April 23rd, the Fort Plain Free Library will offer free photography classes, hosted by photographer Phil Scalia! Classes will be held on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5 pm, running until June 11th. Participants will need to bring a cell phone or digital camera, and will need a (free) Google account to share their work.
Here’s Phil’s description of the classes:
“We grow accustomed to our surroundings, so much that we stop looking at things, we look through things while we are thinking about other things. This course is about changing that habit, about looking at everyday things, and respecting the camera to help you understand this unfamiliar-familiar world and the way it hangs together. Students will need a cell phone or camera and a (free) Google account. We will have weekly assignments designed to exercise the eye, the body and the mind.”
