Tackle a giant, family-oriented obstacle course and create sidewalk art in beautiful Haslett Park on Saturday, Sept. 28, as the Fort Plain Free Library, the Mohawk Valley Collective (MVC), Delnero Furniture, The Sportsman’s Den and D&D Pet Supply, the Valley Alliance Church Youth Group, Go Green, and Stewart’s Shops team up for a free Family Fun Day.

Attractions include a bow and arrow balloon wall, a barrel crawl, a cup and balloon race, cooperative boardwalk, a ninja string crawl, a pool noodle “javelin” throw, a balance beam, brain quest station, a marble labyrinth, and a big hammer and nail challenge.

An inflatable construction-themed bounce house, hosted by the MVC, will be set up for kids’ entertainment. Food — including ice cream from Stewart’s, hot dogs, chips, and drinks — will be available throughout the day.

The library also will host a sidewalk chalk art festival, with paintings created along the perimeter of the park.

All food and activities are free.
